Wow! I haven't been on here in ages...Myspace took me away for a while!

I think I will just try to do a monthly catch up on here, if not only for my benefit for those of you that still check in!  This does seem like a little more personal place to blog anyway,  I know sometimes I might want to blog about something that I DON'T want everyone on Myspace to read! lol!  Anyway, so far this year (2008) hasn't had too many major things happening yet, but it is only March 3rd!
Let's see...January started the year off pretty much like any other year, I set another hard resolution for myself...yes, to lose weight!  Actually, this time I decided to set mini goals for myself and so far, I am doing pretty good, no big loss yet to report but some loss!  Some is better than none, I always say!
February kept me busy with Jordan wrestling and Kelcie's basketball.  Jordan had sooo many wrestling meets and wouldn't you know it, almost all of them were out of town!  Kelcie decided she only wanted to do intra mural basketball, which only meant Saturday afternoons for 2 hours...I think she is not getting into like I was hoping she would, her height could be good in basketball.
Now, we are into March and counting down the days to Emma's 2nd birthday on the 5th!  I can't believe she is going to be 2 already, this last year has flown by!  It brings tears to my eyes to know she is my baby & how fast she is growing up.  I know she is my last one and it won't be long that she won't let me hold her and cuddle her like I still can now!  And I do as much as I can!!!  Jordan is done with wrestling (thank goodness) and Kelcie is wrapping up her basketball, but not before she brought home a form to sign up for volleyball!  She's not quite sure if she wants to do it yet, she has til close to the end of the month to decide.  Jordan is done with sports until Football starts again in the summer with camp, but he said at the end of last season that he didn't want to play because the coach has stopped putting him in as much.  We'll see when camp is ready to start if he's changed his mind.
Well, this gives a little bit of an update for this year so far!  I will check in soon!

Family

It's been a little while since I blogged on here or added pics, so I am doing both.

Emma had her first birthday party and it went so well!  I was so proud to have all of my sisters there for a special day as this.  I know that, with time, family must move on, and sometimes away, so I cherish moments like these.
I keep thinking about how Jordan has only 3 years of school left after this year and then he wants to enlist in the Air Force.  I keep telling myself that it will be a great experience for him and it will give me reason to travel to see him.  But, I already worry about him!  Becoming a young man has been quite a trip for Jordan, he hasn't had the 'real' influence that he has needed from his Dad.  I'm not saying that he isn't getting the guidance that he needs to become a wonderful young man, but he should've gotten it from his Dad.
I think I worry the most about Jordan going away with the military because I don't know for sure if he is wanting to do it for himself or to just run away.  I want him to do it because he wants to fulfill a dream and become a better person overall.  I do know that he wants to fly, but his Dad keeps telling him that he will never be able to fly with the military because his grades aren't good enough to be accepted.  I hate when he puts negative thoughts in his mind and then I feel like I have to come behind and 'fix' everything.  I am always telling my kids that they can do anything that they put their minds to and that some things will come easier than others but don't ever give up at something that you know you want.  No matter what anyone else tells you.
Okay, I had that on my mind and needed to get it out, sorry!
Check out the pics I posted, some are a little old.

Bad News/Good News

Bad News...Emma's party will not be held at Fusion this year, Good News...Kelcie's will on Saturday April 21st from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.  Apparently they have had some bad scheduling problems, something about the date I had for Emma's party never got wrote in the book, it was only on a piece of paper.  Anyway, I went in person to get Kelcie's party reserved and watched them put it in the book.  I think the girl that messed up might have gotten fired, actually I think they must've cleaned house there because there was an ad in the paper looking for help for several different jobs there.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 10th, 2:00p.m. Emma's 1st birthday party at our house unless we decide on McDonalds in Litchfield.  I will definately let you know enough in advance.
Also go ahead and mark Saturday, April 21st, 3:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. Kelcie's 10th birthday party at Fusion.
Jordan's 15th birthday in May is yet to be decided........;)

Needing some help

Ok all you healthy eaters...I need some help!  I am running out of food ideas that taste good!  We are getting tired of eating grilled chicken and steamed veggies and salad!  Can anyone help me find some healthy food ideas?  Also, is there anything you can eat besides yogurt, that is just as healthy?  I have tried yogurt just about every way that you can and I HATE IT!  I also hate oatmeal, what would be a good replacement for these 2 things?
I would appreciate any ideas from anyone.

Also, we are now considering having Emma's b-day party at Fusion.  We would get the pool and a big party room for 3 hours, but I want to know how many people would actually swim.  I want it to be worth the money and it definately would be if a lot of people swim.  So, how many would enjoy going for a swim on a nice March afternoon?  Or play water basketball?  Or walk resistance track (lazy river)?  Or maybe get dizzy in the vortex?  Or even play in the kiddie area, that is actually not limited to kids (as you can see by Cameron sliding down the slide in my pics).  Anyway, would any of you get in the pool?  Oh Yeah, they also have great locker rooms with showers that are equipped with body wash, shampoo & conditioner and hair dryers!

New pics

I added a new album, some of the pics are a little bit old, Sorry!  We haven't had too much new stuff going on around here!  Kelcie started basketball a couple of weeks ago and seems to be liking it.  It is just the learning phase of it this year, no real games.  She also had another dance workshop and performed at the 1/2 time of the Girls basketball and will perform again next month at the boys basketball.  It was a Hip Hop theme this year.  I ran the video camera and Cameron tried the digital camera...he only got 1 pic and it isn't too good.  We need to try to sit alot closer for these things.

Jordan got hurt at a wrestling meet in edwardsville and has been off for a couple of weeks, but should be returning real soon.  He just strained some tendons they said.  He said it popped really loud!  He still has a slight limp, but is anxious to return.

I am busy busy with the planning of the Girl Scout He & Me Dance.  We had 128 people sign up, so I am thinking that is a pretty good turn out!  I am nervous about it though, alot of people are depending on me to make it run smoothly!

I have an appt for my assessment at the Fusion.  When you join, you get 1 Free assessment, which is training on all the machines and a body assessment (not looking forward to that part.)  It takes a while to get an appt and I am only getting 1/2 of it on Sunday because they are so booked, but at least it is the machine part.  I have already been using most of the machines, they are pretty self explanantory and have directions on them.  But this assessment will also let me find out how many and how much to do on each one.  I did try one of the eliptical machines and the next day found out that I need to learn that one from a trainer!  I WAS SORE for 4 days!!!

Well, I think that catches you up for a little while!

I'm an Addict

I am so addicted to the Fusion!  We almost going daily!  Just seeing Emma play in the pool is a great reason to go!  She loves to splash in the water, I will try to remember my camera the next time we go so I can get some good pics of her splashing!   It is too cute!  They do offer child care at the Child care center next door, but you have only 2 hours to leave your child there and only a 3 hour spot to do so.  We have it worked out that I work out while Cameron either swims or walks the track with Emma(the only 2 places she can go) and then we switch.  Usually on the weekend the whole family swims.  Jordan is old enough that he can go anywhere without an adult, Kelcie is not allowed in the cardio/fitness room and can only go on the track and basketball court w/an adult. But, she can go swimming by herself.  Anyway, it is great ot have something like this in the winter time for the whole family and I am addicted, I look forward to going each day.  I just hope I don't wear out from it!
Donna, we have a guest pass if you would like to come sometime, I think it is only good until April though, Let me know!  Their hours are kinda weird, maybe you can come on a day off or something.
